Game Based Training
Game Based Training
Life is not the same anymore, everything had changed even children at the school are not being taught by the same way their parents did.
Researches revealed that a person will understand and cooperate in a learning process if it wasn’t dull or boring, that’s why Game-Based training courses started to appear; as it is effective, interactive experiences that motivate and actively engage the trainees in the learning process.
A study reported in Personnel Psychology (Sitzmann, 2011) found that trainees using serious simulation games had improved: 20% of post-training efficiency, 11% of higher declarative knowledge, 14% improved procedural knowledge and 9% of better retention than the trainees in non-game based training groups.
While the traditional training courses environment is totally different, trainees get evaluated based on their memory of what they were told and even if the trainee had succeeded in memorizing and studying the lessons well, their behavior in true-to-life situations remains untested.
In contrast, Game-Based training courses or simulations might open up the trainees’ minds to more complicated situations that they might face in the real working environment, this way the trainees will not only learn the facts but deeper experiences and what is the best solution for the most unexpected situations.
Recently game based training is accessible everywhere due to its high efficiency in different industries like retail management, sales, supply chain and finance.
