6 Tips For Slow Seasons
Slow Seasons Tips
Holidays are something joyful and cheering to everyone, but sometimes owners of small businesses dislike the seasons of holidays and long vacations as it is considered slow season for the business and many businesses either close during this season or experience lack of sales and productivity. One of the most famous slow seasons in Egypt is the holly month Ramadan. Here we are going to give you 6 suggestions to make a good use of the holidays or the slow workflow during the upcoming Ramadan either for your employees or your customers:
Gifts Gifts Gifts!
People love free stuff no matter what is it, offering samples of products with puchase is a great way to incentivize people to keep buying. Giving your customers free service or product also makes them feel valued and important. It is a great way to give back to them and show how much you appreciate them.
There is kind of seasons where there is a remarkable gift for the season no matter how many of it you have you will still be happy if someone gifted it to you, let’s say a Christmas tree or decorations during the Christmas season is a best gift you can give to your customer, same goes with the Fanoos during Ramadan. If you are offering services not products so you got nothing to give away as gifts, keep a basket of these small remarkable gifts and whenever a customer steps in offer him one.
Event Time!
Another effective way to bring customers into your place and boost sales is to host an event or a seminar at your business. Doing so allows you to invite your best customers to an event where you can showcase your products or services along with a little piece of new information they will learn.
Events can turn into annual things and become quite popular within local communities, so be sure to advertise yours with posters and flyers and especially boost it on your businesses social media platforms. In fact, Facebook allows you to create Events and invite all the people who follow your business.

Internal Training
slow seasons is a good chance to improve your stuff’s skills with no cost at all, let it be a training period to everyone at your company.
You don’t have to hire trainer; senior employees can train junior ones, it doesn’t have to be something technical, you can focus on improving the language or soft skills of your employees. Watch them improve and track their productivity level after the training and you will be surprised by how they became more motivated, active and excited to work harder
Extended Vacations
If none of the above will work for you, your customers or your employees then why pay full salaries while getting nothing in return?!
While you may or may not be able to afford to give your employees a full month of paid vacation for the holidays, you can offer extended unpaid vacation during the holiday season. For many employees, giving up a bit of salary for extra days off during the holiday is a desirable option. It will save you money and it can improve your employees’ quality of life, if it’s something that suites them.
