8 ways to create great blog content

How to create blog content?

After my 2 years of creating blogging content, all I really had to show for it were a few hundred monthly readers and a few emails subscribers. Most of whom I personally knew.
I couldn’t figure out where I was going wrong… these were all the strategies and tactics I’d been reading about from marketing experts and seeing other bloggers post about all the time.
To be honest, create blog content isn’t good enough anymore. Want proof? 75% of content published online doesn’t earn a single like or share which means that “good content” is getting ignored

“Now an audience of more than 1 billion people is only a click away from every voice online, and remarkable stories and content can gain flash audiences as people share via social networks, blogs and e-mail.”    Matt Mullenweg

1. Go Deep

Create a blog content about topics you had personal experience with. That made me much more credible (and relatable) to my readers.

2. Select Your Brilliant Idea

It’s Easy to do it when you create blog content. Just ask yourself these three questions (Do I have interesting research or a personal breakthrough on this topic?, Do I have an opinion on this topic?, What do I want my readers to take away from this?

“When you have a brilliant idea, nobody is going to ask to see your diploma.” Alan Gerry

3. Write smart, not hard

Obey the 80/20 Rule to Create blog content.

I spend 80% of my time distributing my content, and 20% on the actual writing. While the quality to create blog content (or videos, infographics, etc) is very important for setting your content up for success, in practice, it’s only a small component of the traffic equation. And that’s where distribution—strategically promoting your content to drive new readers—comes in to play.

4. Focus on what matters in your community.

“The need for connection and community is primal, as fundamental as the need for air, water, and food.”  Dean Ornish

In the end, all the strategies, tactics and best practices in the world don’t matter as much as your connection to your readers. Even if that’s literally 10 people today.
Build a relationship with them. Give them content that’s true can transform them. Help them get real results by using and acting upon your content when you create blog content.
Spread out, asking them to share content that’s had an impact on them with their communities. From there, you’ll start to grow organically. That’s how you create a movement around your blog.

5. Inspiring Introductions

Follow these steps when you create blog content with introductions, you only have a few seconds to convince readers to stay with you and read your ideas, so don’t waste words!
Which means your introduction — in fact, your whole article — must be suffused with empathy, tell a story, joke, or grip the reader with interesting facts or statistic.

6. The Body of Your Article

When it’s time to create blog content and write, however, you need some kind of organization to keep those ideas in order for easiness of communication with the reader.

– At least, use a basic bulleted outline, put out all of your ideas, and then organize them with brief subheadings arranged in a logical order.
– Use influencer quotes: No one wants to hear your thoughts until they know you’re trustworthy, and the best way to build up your credibility is to accurately, ethically, and helpfully mention other leaders to support or introduce your points.

7. Visually Appealing

Separating text with emphasized pull quotes helps to breathe room for your reader and draws their eyes down the page. Visually appealing articles are well-read articles.
Other ways to create a visually appealing blog.

• Use short paragraphs. No more than 3–4 lines per paragraph, ideally.
• Use white space between paragraphs.
• Include relevant, interesting images, not just at the top of the article, but throughout the article if it needs to be.
• Present examples of the ideas that you are talking about, with photographs, infographics, videos, or diagrams for easier processing.

“We are visual creatures. Visual things stay put, whereas sounds fade.”  Steven Pinker

8. Insert CTA (call to action) at the end

At the end of your blog post, it is important to have a call to action leading your readers to take an action after they finish reading your blog post. But all sorts of people visit your blog and you don’t want to give them all the same content. It could be (subscribe to your blog/web, download an ebook, register for webinar or event, read related article…etc.

Don’t hide links to your Contact Us page in drop-down menus that can’t be seen without actively clicking around your navigation

Conclusion

Without these foundational tips, your blog content will go nowhere. But with these strategies strong locked in place, you will be able to push your articles as far as you want them to create great blog content.

Writing shine comes with time and practice, but I guarantee that if you keep writing, you will create blog content more and more consistently with exceptional quality articles.
