It includes the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption. In simple words, Supply Chain is everything from raw materials to the end consumer. This is why it must be managed professionally.

Whether it is the planning and forecasting to procurement, material handling, production management, inventory, warehousing, and Logistics one must be precise, one must have an extensive knowledge and the understanding on how to implement this knowledge.
So to all those who work in the field of Supply Chain, “chapeau” (hats off). You have the toughest jobs in the company, so be smart. Develop yourself. Try to be one step ahead, the field is evolving, new trends are being discovered so don’t put yourself in a loop. You have a very powerful responsibility resting on your shoulders, so stand up to it and most importantly, conquer it. Always remember: “Work smart not hard“.
